Windows 11 mail ap not displaying yahoo emails

The Mail ap in Windows 11 is not displaying emails I receive on my Yahoo account. I have done everything I can find online to fix this - removed and re-installed the accounts, changed settings, repaired the ap.....

When I search the inbox using the senders name, the 'missing' emails all appear, but when I clear the search, they are gone again.

I have access to the emails on my phone, and it shows all emails, but I need them on my laptop. Very frustrating having to check my phone for new emails, and then search to find them on my laptop.

Would really appreciate some help with this.

Thanks for the reply.

I think I have found the issue - still testing at the moment. I had Yahoo Mail added to the 'Mail' App as "Yahoo Mail" which seems logical and I am sure it has been that way for some time. Today I deleted the account, and re-added it as a IMAP account rather than the pre-set Yahoo option. I also used aYahoo Mail generated 'one off' password instead of my actual Yahoo password. This seems to have fixed the issue. Now only have to stop some emails coming through in code ( which yours did )
