I currently have a PC running Windows 10, however I want to put Windows 11 on another empty drive that is available on my mobo (m.2 SSD).
After four attempts to install from a bootable USB, I've had no success. I have run the PC Health Check and all boxes are checked for my system being eligible to run Windows 11 (including UEFI, tpm, and secure boot). I read previous forums, and apparently a major issue is one installation file being over 4GB which made it impossible. Microsoft must have fixed it because it's now 3.87GB. The target drive is a 2TB SSD Samsung 870 EVO.
Here is what I've tried.
1. Formatted the target drive before each installation.
2. Formatted the bootable usb and reinstalled windows 11 installation media before each attempt.
3. Tried formatting the bootable usb in NTFS, exFAT, and FAT32
4. Tried deleting all partitions on target drive.
5. Ensured that the drive is not dynamic and is online.
The last thing I feel I haven't tried is removing all drives except the target drive, but that is a hassle and I'd like to avoid that if possible.
