Windows 11 duplicated accounts issue

Hello there,

First of all, I have read some other articles and even though the issue is the same, I cannot found in Settings -> Accounts -> Other accounts no accounts at all.

My issue is that neither searching for "netplwiz" I can't reset any passwords or edit the admin account, even though I'm the admin.

Any suggestions here? You can see the screenshot as well.

Thank you.

Hi Tiberiu, This is Ramesh.

Where do you see the duplicate account? Does it help if you enable the "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer" checkbox in Netplwiz.exe?

Hi Ramesh,

I am seeing the 2 identical accounts at Windows restart. I cannot change anything when accessing Netplwiz.exe, but only the password in the Task Manager I think.

The only thing I want is to remove the duplicated account which it seems I can't find anywhere.

Thanks.

Hi,

Do you see a "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer" checkbox in Netplwiz.exe?

Thanks for the info.

Please download Autologon from Microsoft
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/...

Run the tool.

Click "Disable".

Restart Windows.

Does that fix the duplicate user issue?
