Windows 10 won't activate after reset. Need help from MS specialists.

I recently made a reset on my laptop due to how slow it has been performing, I had this laptop for 2 years. This is not the first reset I made because of it, there were other resets that activation had no problem. I may have an idea why it may not work but unsure of it. When the reset had activation problems, I did not hesitate resetting it countless of times but ended in the same problem. I made a question like this but had no significant reply and just some similar. I hope an MVP reads this and help me with the problem, product keys aren't cheap so I hope you will understand.

Here is my problem in detail:

Hello, I’m Virginia an independent advisor with 20 years of expertise in fixing my own & friends’ PC problems.
Please note we are not Microsoft but fellow users like yourself.
Which Windows version are you running - 1809, 1903 or 1909?
Unfortunately that link shows a 404 error.

Did the PC come with Windows 10 or was it upgraded from an older version of Windows?

Run this cmd within powershell with admin powershell “(Get-WmiObject -query ‘select * from SoftwareLicensingService’).OA3xOriginalProductKey”
Or wmic path softwarelicensingservice get OA3xOriginalProductKey if using cmd prompt.
Or: Check this program to reveal if there’s a key embedded in the BIOS:
https://neosmart.net/OemKey/
Or: Download and run this: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/showkeyplus/9... to find all keys used on the PC.

Also run this to see what is currently installed & post a screenshot:
Right click on start & choose powershell with admin & enter: slmgr.vbs /dlv
This will show a popup showing whether your license is OEM, Retail, or Volume amongst other information.
If this states you have a volume licence then there is away to return to a legal key if there's one in the BIOS.
If it does please post back.

Try this one:

My PC is a 1909 and it already has windows 10 preinstalled.

I found my product key but it keeps giving me the error 0xC0000022. I can't use my Microsoft office applications if it is not activated.

Thanks but I need to see the outcome of the cmd.
Did windows come pre-installed on the PC or was it purchased separately?
Has anything changed on the PC like Motherboard or other hardware?
Are you connected to the Internet via WiFi or Ethernet?

The cmd gave an error, but I am sure this is a valid key because I called microsoft Tech support to check on it. Windows 10 came pre-installed with it already activated, nothing has been changed, all I did was just fresh installations and resets then this happened. I didn't do any hardware changes.

Ps.

Sorry for the late reply. I hope you won't mind it because I think we live in different time zones.

No worries. I’ll be here.
Yes the key looks valid - OEM.
If you haven’t changed anything then it should activate.
Have you tried:
https://support.microsoft.com/help/12440/window...
https://www.groovypost.com/howto/fix-windows-10...

Have you signed in to Windows with the same Microsoft account that the license is activated on?
I’ve not heard of any Activation limit with the free Win 10 license but that’s a possibility depending on how often you reset the PC.
Have you tried a clean install of Windows? You could use imaging software to save your current system & if the problem remains you can recover the original Windows.
https://www.macrium.com/reflectfree also remember to create their boot media if you go down this route.

Indeed I have signed in to the same account and no other account. The only difference I recall is just changing my number in my security info then it prompted me a message whenever I tried to verify at my account.

"We know you have been waiting" it said with a further description of " Your account will soon be updated on April 20, 2020", so I just assumed that maybe it might activate the same day.

I have made more than 3 resets but ended up the same between these days. I think I will reset it again if it does not automatically activate that day to see if it will make a difference.

Thank you for your time once again.

Ah, when you change security information then you’re locked out for 30 days, this is to ensure the change is genuine & not a scammer who has access to your account. This may be why you can’t activate Windows as it needs to access your account to do this.

Thank you for that info, I was feeling weary that I may not use my laptop normally forever and that I have to buy a new product key because it is very expensive and I am just a kid.

Thank you for your time, stay safe and have a great day!

P.S.

I will try to contact you again if it does not go accordingly if you wouldn't mind.

It is already April 20 and it still gives me this message. I am so confused and frustrated. I don't know what is going on, or maybe I should wait another day?   Does it send a notification through outlook mail when it is updated?
