Windows 10 vs windows 11 on new pc build

Hello, I’m deciding between installing Windows 10 or Windows 11 on my new PC build, which has the following specs:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600 AM4 Tray

CPU Cooler: Coolleo B40S DIG ARGB Black

Motherboard: Gigabyte B450M K 2.0

RAM: Corsair DDR4 32GB (2x16GB) 3200 CL16 Vengeance RGB RS

Case: Antec NX410

Power Supply: CoolerMaster 750W MWE V3 230V (ATX 3.1) Bronze

GPU: Gigabyte RX 7700 XT GV-R77XTGAMING OC-12GD

Storage: Kingston SSD 1TB NV2 M.2 NVMe Bulk

I generally prefer the Windows 10 layout over Windows 11, but I also want to ensure I’m maximizing performance for games (like modded Minecraft, Hitman, GTA V, Rocket League) and other applications. Given my hardware, which OS would you recommend for the best balance of performance and usability, and are there any specific configuration tweaks I should consider to get the most out of my system?

Answer
Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

You have good hardware that is fully supported on Widows 11, on a new device, you should install Windows 11, support for Windows 10 ends in October this year, there is no point in installing Windows 10, because you would no longer receive updates for the operating system after support ends and you would also then have problems with not being able to source new drivers on Windows 10.
