Does your network icon in the taskbar show any icon (i.e yellow triangle)? Are you able to browse to websites successfully?
In any case, I would recommend resetting your network adapter in case of any problems, you can do this by following the below guide:
- Open Command Prompt as administrator
- Enter: netsh winsock reset
- Reboot your computer
- Try the update again

Please run Network Adapter and Windows Update troubleshooters from Settings app > Update & security > Troubleshoot. See if they helps you.
