Windows 10 Taskbar Broken

After attempting to download a clip from the Xbox app, my computer crashed and now everything on the task bar  won't work. The Time Display is missing and when I try to use my keyboard to open the windows tab, nothing happens. Does anyone know what's going on?

Hi,

My taskbar is having the same issues as described above. I upgraded to Windows 10 from 8.1 in August. My laptop is an Acer Aspire E5-571-52GR. Since I upgraded the start menu and cortana both haven't left-clickable after about an hour after each time I turn on. However, now the problem is more severe and the time does not appear and programs do not appear in the taskbar either.

Please can you resolve this issue? I cannot believe so many people have had this same problem and there is no clear fix. I am approximately 2 days away from buying a Mac and never touching Windows again.

I have followed your above advice and all the advice on the following pages but with no success:
