Windows 10 - Security - McAfee Firewall or Windows Firewall?

i have windows 10 home, 64 bit. i have mcafee, it says mcafee fire wall on, windows fire wall off. should i change to windows sercurity, is it built in, should i turn mcafee off if it is built in. help. it is a laptop

To address your concern, you may just use one the two firewalls that you have. It is not advisable to enable both at the same time, this can cause conflicts.

Hi

 You have stepped into the never ending mine field of internet security where for every question asked you will get a thousand different and contradictory answers. Windows firewall is very good so good in fact it is piggybacked by others, ironically maybe even MacAfee. It comes built in with your system which I think is better and more stable than 3rd party to pay for options. My advice for what it's worth, stick with windows firewall. It seems to be the only part of Microsoft which doesn't get a regular kicking so that must tell you something, but this is just my opinion plus it's free.(the firewall that is)
