Windows 10 Photos app will not scroll through existing photos in the folder

Hi,

In windows 7, I used Windows Photo viewer, and would associate it with photos. If say I opened a folder, and it had 10 photos, I would double click on the photo, the WPV would open, and then I could use the scroll arrows or keyboard arrows to go through all the photos in that folder.

I just got Windows 10, the default app associated with photos is Photos. I just tried double clicking on a photo and can no longer go through all the other pictures in that same folder. I also cannot fin dthe WPV as an option. I tried the registry hack mentioned in other threads but that did not work.

Again, my goal is to be able to scroll through all the photos in the folder using the Photo app.

It may be, but do a reset of default and see if that works.

If it doesn't, have you run these scans? If no, please run these first.

When finished scanning, go to Start > Type PowerShell

Right click on PowerShell > Select Run As Administrator

Type or copy/paste this command into the window

Get-AppXPackage | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

Disregard the errors in red. Once the command executes, reboot the system and retry photo app.
