WINDOWS 10 -- Photos App Why cant I use my arrow keys to scroll through photos in a folder?

Okay, so i have a folder on my desktop with some pictures in it.

I open a photo in the Photos app, (default windows 10 photo viewer) and I can't use left/right on my keyboard. The program makes me use the mouse to hit the left and right buttons manually, when it would be 100 times simpler to just hit left and right on the keyboard.

I have another computer at home that runs windows 7  so i am used to the convenience of my computers actually working, LOL!

Anyone have any ideas how to unlock the buttons so I can just hit left and right on the keyboard?

Been looking at other forums and this looks like a common problem that has NOT been solved by Microsoft.

This solution might work.  Also you could try selecting all (<ctrl>A), right clicking and selecting Open (you can also just hit <enter> to start at the first photo). 

Edit: Here's something that addresses DropBox specifically although it should apply to everything.
