Windows 10 Mail app does not repect "Reply-To"

The Mail app does not work properly when I try to  reply to certain incoming emails.

If an email has a FROM address which is different from its "Reply-To" Address, when I reply to such an email, it gets sent to the incoming FROM address rather than the "Reply-To" address as it should do.

All my other email clients work properly (Office Outlook 2013, Gmail.com, www.outlook.com, Android).

Is there a fix for this problem?

Currently, I am running Windows 10 Pro V1511 (OS build 10856.17) and the Mail version is V17.6416.42001.0

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I understand the issue that you are currently facing, we will try the best we can to resolve your issue.

I would like to inform you that in the new mail app for windows 10, in the left navigation pane you will find the accounts that you have sync with the app. To reply to any email you will have to select the account that you wish to send the from.

The previous option that was available in Windows 8.1 to select the address directly from the From box has ben changed.

I am afraid that your comment does not help me. On the left navigation pane I have only ONE account - my own.  And obviously any emails I send will come from there.

The issue i have is that the address that my reply is going TO is not being picked up from the REPLY-TO in the header of the email I am replying to but instead is going to the address from which the original email came.

I have  also sent this issue via Feedback 5 months ago, and still no response, nor fix.

My Win 10 build is 10240

I'm also facing this issue. Among other problems, it makes it impossible to reply to GitHub notifications via email.

The worst thing about it is it breaks compatibility with RFC 5322, so the e-mail client is not compatible with standards. I have also reported this using Insider Hub and still waiting for a fix.

I've got the same problem on my W10 device, very annoying. The workaround would be to choose reply all, and then remove the from address.

In April 2017 I am still having this problem only on Windows 10 email client.  The reply-to field is apparently ignored.  This is not a minor problem for applications that facilitate email between parties.

I see the original report goes back to 2015.  

Where is Microsoft on this?
