windows 10 iso size

I just downloaded the windows 10 pro iso. The file size is 5.8G. How are you supposed to burn this on a regular dvd?

Don't know what you downloaded, but that isn't the size of any legitimate Windows 10 ISOs I have seen. ;-)

As I have machines with both 32/64 bit versions, I selected both when promted for the version I wanted. I d/led again only selecting the 64bit and it was the correct size.

Thanks

You cant burn it on a regular DVD but you can burn it on double layer DVDs. Hopefuly you'll find it easily in market.

For most people, it'll probably make more sense to get (at worst) a 32-bit and 64-bit ISO (two downloads for each edition) and create two DVDs as opposed to getting a dual layer DVD (media) - although honestly - makes even more sense to buy the 8GB USB 3.0 stick and just create a bootable USB stick.

If you have to boot from DVD (cannot boot from USB because of - frankly - the age of the system or other strange limitations thereof) - you should reconsider an upgrade to Windows 10 -- IMHO.
