Windows 10 Home Single Language to Windows 10 Pro Upgrade

Hi,

I was trying to upgrade my Laptop from Windows 10 Home SL to Windows 10 Pro by entering Windows 10 Pro Product key though the windows, once I have provided the product key a "Windows is activated" pop up comes and shows "We've activated this copy of windows". And after reboot the Windows Edition still stays as Windows 10 Home SL no changes.

Let me know if I'm missing anything here.

Thanks,

I have a Lenovo laptop that I bought in Mexico in an emergency situation. It came with Windows 10 Home Single Language - Mexican Spanish was the installed language.

I would like to switch the operating system language to English, so I upgraded to Windows 10 Pro.  I installed the English (United States) language pack prior to upgrading to Windows 10 Pro.  When I go to System Settings, it shows that English (United States) has been installed, however the option to make that the default language is ghosted - the same as what it appeared when I was still running Windows Home SL.

I have confirmed (clicking on My Computers properties) that Windows 10 Pro is the current OS.

What am I missing?

I did use the above product key when i "accidentally" upgraded to windows 10 Pro using the product key I've got from softwarebeam.com which you also provided.  It did work before, now I have received a notice that I should activate my windows 10 Pro after the installation of windows 10 feature update today.   I could not activate windows saying that I don't have the valid digital license or product key.

I have the original and legitimate product key from Windows 8.1 before upgrading to Windows 10 Home Single Language below:

Product  Name: Windows 10 Home Single Language

Product ID: <removed>

Installed Key: <removed>

 OEM Key:  <removed>

I can't even go back to Windows 10 Home Single Language, because I do not have the installation media... I bought this laptop Acer E5-471P which have the pre-installed Windows 8.1.

What should I do now?  Please help..
Thank you

The key Andre provided is a generic key which does not activate Windows 10 Pro but just lets you install it. You must enter a valid product key later.

You would have to start over by doing a clean install of Windows 10 Home SL.
