Windows 10 home single language edition product key

I am extracted Windows 10 home single language edition product key from BIOS OEM using tool. Can i use this key for another PC ?

if you purchased that version of Windows separately to the PC, then it is a Retail version and can be transferred to another PC

If that version of Windows came pre-installed on that PC, it is an OEM licence and is tied to that PC and cannot be transferred . . .

Nope, Neither OEM nor Home Single language licenses can be transferred. It is tied to the life of the motherboard.

Yes. You would either get the key does not work or We are unable to activate Windows on this device

It depends on how Windows 10 was originally configured on your computer.

If its a full retail store bought license online or offline, it is transferable to a new computer or motherboard.

If its the free upgrade from a retail store bought Windows 7 or Windows 8 license, it is transferable to a new computer or motherboard.

If its the free upgrade from a OEM preinstalled Windows 7 or Windows 8 license, it is NOT transferable to a new computer or motherboard.

You could try chatting with support agent and explain the situation in detail and they might be able to activate it. We were able to confirm with Microsoft under some circumstances, OEM licenses can be reactivated even under the free upgrade offer. Its not guaranteed every support agent will do it though, but you can try your luck.

Microsoft's view is, as long as you are not abusing the license, you should get a pass.

Press Windows key + R
Type: slmgr.vbs /dli
Hit Enter

Please note, there is a space between slmgr.vbs and /dli

You will see OEM_DM in the dialog that pops up.

I found product key with above CMD command "wmic path softwarelicensingservice get OAx3Originalproductkey" in above command i get OEM product key. It is transferred to new PC?

OEM licenses are not transferable based on their licensing terms.
OEM versions of Windows are identical to Full License Retail versions except for the following:

- OEM versions do not offer any free Microsoft direct support from Microsoft support personnel

- OEM licenses are tied to the very first computer you install and activate it on

- OEM versions allow all hardware upgrades except for an upgrade to a different model motherboard

- OEM versions cannot be used to directly upgrade from an older Windows operating system
