Step 1: Let us run Windows Update troubleshooter to fix the problem.
It makes sure that your computer is connected to the Internet, and checks to see whether your network adapter and Windows Update services are running correctly.
Follow the below steps:
- Type troubleshooting in the search bar.
- Select Troubleshooting.
- Under System and Security, click Fix problems with Windows Updates.
- Follow the on screen instructions.
After running the troubleshooter, let us install the available Windows updates and check if the issue persist.
Step 2: Run the troubleshooter for Windows apps
App Troubleshooter is an automated tool which we have developed to address a number of known issues that can prevent the Apps from running properly. This troubleshooter automatically fixes some issues, including suboptimal screen resolution,
incorrect security or account settings etc. You can click on this link to download and run the Apps troubleshooter.
Step 3: Perform System File Checker (SFC) scan, to repair the missing/corrupted system files.
- Press ‘Windows + X’ keys.
- Click on ‘Command Prompt (Admin)’ to bring up an elevated command prompt.
Note: Click ‘Yes’ if it prompts for permission.
3. In the command prompt type in the following command and then press
Enter.
sfc /scannow
