Windows 10 - BCD Boot Error/Boot Configuration Data for your PC is missing or contains errors.

As the title states, I'm unable to boot my PC due to BCD errors. Although there are quite a few threads in regards to relative problems such as these, I still haven't been able to resolve the issue of fixing the boot repair on my PC.

The performance of my laptop significantly started to falter after I launched Arma 3 to join a few friends, which has never happened before.

This resulted in me being unable to close anything, nor could I end any tasks using the task manager; despite nothing reaching critical levels. Shortly after, I had a BSOD: VIDEO_MEMORY_MANAGEMENT_INTERNAL.

However, the PC wouldn’t load past the PC logo after ten minutes; so I hesitantly force restarted by holding down the power button. Upon restarting, I was greeted with a boot failure.

File:      \EFI\Microsoft\Boot\BCD
Status: 0xc000000f
Info:     The Boot Configuration Data for your PC is missing or contains errors.

Since then, I’ve used a USB for the installation for Windows 10 Recovery since I don’t have a disk drive; followed by hours of trials and errors revolving around numerous solutions- which unfortunately haven't worked. I've spent quite a long time doing nothing but reading and trying to fix my 1 month old pc.

The manual boot repair doesn't work for me:

Bootrec /fixMBR = Successful
Bootrec /fixBoot = Access is denied
Bootrec /RebuildBcd = Total identified Windows installations 0

- Bootrec /fixBoot

In regards to BillyBigun’s solution for fixing the denied access, I haven
’t been successful in formatting my primary partition.
(Partition Workaround
)

- Bootrec /rebuildBcd

I've also tried to follow the instructions provided by Tim Fisher; to no avail.
(I can't get past step 6., despite looking at solutions revolving aroud partitions and all.)

attrib c:\boot\bcd -h -r -s
Path not found - C:\boot

- No Access to Reset my PC

Also, I don’t have an option to reset my PC through the recovery screen. Therefore, I've tried install Windows again- but it constantly loops; even after deleting all my partitions.

I'm open to all suggestions, even those that are very common and have been tried.

Thank you.

You have really done a lot of things we would have all suggested.
Now you stated your PC was only a month old.
Do you still have a warranty?
Reason why I am asking this is you can't even do anything after deleting and formatting the partitions (which works every time).
I am concerned that you have faulty hardware.

Your computer is in an inoperable state.

Go to a working computer, download, create a bootable copy, then perform a clean install.

Mhm, a bit of a shame. Although, luckily I do have warranty- so I'll probably resort to that if it can't be fixed.

Thanks for the concern. :P

During the warranty, it is the sole responsibility of the manufacturer for full functioning of the device.
I would ask for a replacement of the device.

Alrighty, I've done what I can- but unfortunately there's no difference.

Step 1: I've been using the Media Creation Tool for re-installing Windows 10, as it's technically impossible to download Win 10 files on a browser; simply because there no longer is an option to scroll down and select and edition of Win 10 to download as specified in the first link.

Step 2: I've just done another clean install of Windows 10, where I've deleted both my partitions on my laptop (SSD and HDD, but I still have more partitions that I'm unable to modify as they're on my external HDD). My PC restarts after it's finished installing Windows 10 and there are only two results:

1. If I keep my external HDD plugged in, I'm redirected back to the installation of Win 10 as if nothing had happened.

2. I remove my external HDD during the Finishing up phase, as recommended on another thread that I've read. This however brings me back to square one, the boot error / directive.
(Reboot and Select proper Boot device or insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key)

Therefore, these solutions don't work on my PC. Thanks for the help so far, and apologies for the hassle. :P

Prior to the crash, I believe I had version 1709 of Windows 10 Home; as I updated everything so everything would be up to date. However, I'm not too sure on the specific builds.

This would also apply to the version of Win 10 I'm attempting to install now; which is Win 10 Home- stating that it was last modified on the 29th of September, 2017.

Windows 10 1709 was released in October of 2017, you likely had Windows 10 1703 prior that.

I am going to recommend you downgrade to Windows 10 1703.

Step 1: download Windows 10 1703 from the following link:
https://tb.rg-adguard.net/index.php?sid=74a7cf5...

Choose the following:

- Windows Final
- Windows 10, version 1703
- Windows 10 Pro + Home
- English
- x64 (64 bit) x32 (32 bit)

Step 2: create a bootable copy
https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wik...

Step 3: perform a custom install
http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/insider/wiki...

There are some compatibility issues with Windows 10 version 1709 and certain hardware or software. There is no explanation why a lot of these problems are happening in Windows 10 1709, but the release is significantly flawed. Software and Hardware that once worked in previous versions, just suddenly stops working in Windows 10 1709 after an upgrade and sometimes loses functionality or stability.
