Hi Roy. I'm Greg, an installation specialist and 8 year Windows MVP, here to help you.

Are you right clicking the program .exe file to Run as Administrator, and installing from an Administrator account?

Check at Settings > System >About for the Edition of Windows 10. If it is "S" version then it limits what programs can be installed. You'd need to upgrade to Pro which I believe is free right now.

Otherwise go over this checklist to make sure the install is set up correctly, optimized for best performance, and any needed repairs get done: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wiki...

If nothing else helps then run a Repair Install by installing the Media Creation Tool and choosing from it to Upgrade Now. This solves many problems and will also bring it up to the latest version which you need anyway and by the most stable method. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/m...

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and let us know how it goes. I will keep working with you until it's resolved.

Are you saying, it won't install or it won't execute (launch)?

Did you just upgrade or perform a clean install?

If you just upgraded, try rolling back:

Open Start > Settings > Update & security > Recovery > under Go back to my previous version of Windows 10, click Get started.
If you are unable to do it from the desktop
Press Control + Alt + Delete
Click Sign out

At the Sign In screen, hold down the shift key on your keyboard while clicking the Power button on the screen
Continue to hold down the shift key while clicking Restart
Continue to hold down the shift key until the Advanced Recovery Options menu appears

Click Troubleshoot

Click Advanced options

Click Go back to the previous version of Windows

Another thing you can do is open Start > Settings > Apps > Apps & features, under 'Installing apps' make sure 'Allow apps from anywhere' is selected.

Could you clarify if you have Windows 10 S installed?

Press Windows key + R
Type: winver
Hit Enter

Does it say 'Windows 10 S'?

If it does, then you will need to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro for 'FREE' so you can start installing desktop apps.
