Windows 10 activated, but it does not show in devices Linked Account?

I found out that my Windows 10 is RETAIL version according to  SLMGR DLI.

So, I assume that I can transfer the license from one laptop to another.

These laptops are the same model.  There is no difference, other than maybe serial numbers.

I registered 1st laptop with MSA account. It clearly says that it has the digital license linked to MSA.

When I look under devices in MSA, it is listed when it is logged on.

However, as soon as I log off, and check MSA, the list is GONE.

When 2nd laptop was logged with the same MSA credential, it is NOT activated.

So, I went to ACTIVATION TROUBLESHOOTING for changes in HARDWARE.

But, after searching for QUALIFYING license, it comes back and says there is NONE available.

I mean there is NO list of Laptop I linked the license to.

Is this supposed to be? I thought you should be able to select License from a computer you linked the license to.

Thanks for the help in advance.

Answer

You would still see the devices connected to your Microsoft account, so long as you haven't removed it from MSA. Once you remove certain device, it will no longer shows on the account. See the screenshot below:

Also, since you have changed your motherboard your computer will ask for an activation again.
