Windows 10 (1709) Microsoft 365 Business CSP License activation error

Hi,

I am trying to activate Windows 10 using Microsoft 365 Business License. But I get the following error. The troubleshooter does not help. Request help. The system is active directory joined.

You need to contact your Cloud Service Provider who provided the license to you. Since you are running Windows 10 Business which is a subscription, it should automatically activate as long as the subscription is active.

We are actually the CSP and we are doing the upgrade for one of our clients. Microsoft 365 Plan is what we are providing. (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/business)

This has already been done, but I have to mention, the upgrade was done from a non genuine Windows 7 Ultimate.

Well, there is your problem. As noted, you have to start it from a valid, activated Windows license. You need to sort that out and see if it works.

Is there any way to upgrade from a non genuine Windows 7 Ultimate to genuine Windows 10 using the Microsoft Business 365 License.

You should first upgrade to Windows 10 Pro, but the installer does a validation check, so, its not gonna bypass that without entering a valid key first.
