Window 11 24h2 Making Games Unplayable

I already made a statement that I been having problems and tried updating every driver on my pc just for it to be up to date. But yet everything is still so slow to the point that Youtube videos are so slow to load in and the best quality I can go up to is 144p. I bought this pc from NZXT version Player One, and everything was working perfectly fine. When I bought myself a 4060 ti 8GB VRAM to replace my 3050 and bought extra ram to make 32 GB, everything was working fine as usual until I updated windows 11 24h2 on December 10 that's when everything decided to not work and slow down. The games that I play that stop working properly is Helldiver 2(Can't join an online session without being disconnected), Fortnite(able to get in but gets network error), Warframe(Can't join Friends), Webfishing(Crashes when joining friends) and even Roblox(Can't even join a game and gets tuck on the loading screen). I factory reset my PC 6 times this whole month even did a clean reinstall for everything. I did the ISO method that people kept saying to me online yet never worked I reinstall windows again yet I get the same problem. This PC is still brand new and I had it only for 6 months. I don't know what to do at this point and My friend also has the same problem with his PC with the exact same build as me.

My Build:

CPU: 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-13400F

GPU: NVDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti

RAM: 32 GB

Storage (2): 1TB

Motherboard: Model:B760

If anyone have something else I can try to fix this problem please tell me!

Hello,Sushi_maker

Welcome to posting in the Microsoft Community.

I understand that after you upgraded to Windows 11 24h2, your computer's performance has dropped significantly, and games and video playback have become very slow or even unable to load properly. I think it is likely that the Windows 11 24h2 update may have introduced drivers or power management settings that are incompatible with certain hardware, resulting in abnormal allocation of system resources. In addition, the update may have triggered the performance impact of certain background processes or services such as network adapters, power management modes, and so on.

I understand your feelings very well, this is a very disturbing issue for a brand new device. And since your description suggests that multiple computers with the same configuration have the same problem, it's likely that there is a driver or service conflict with one of the hardware offerings. I would like to ask you to test the following scenarios and hopefully find some more ideas.

1. Adjust the power management program for optimal performance.

Please use “Win+I” to open the “Settings” page, go to “System > Power and Battery”, expand “Power Mode”, and adjust “Power On” and “Battery Use” to “Optimal Performance”.

2. Adjust NVDIA settings

Some users have reported that there are settings in NVDIA APP that may cause the game to appear abnormal, in order to ensure the test environment is as clean as possible, please open the Nvidia App, click “Settings”, and then uncheck the “NVIDIA Stacks” option, restart the device.

After you refer to the above steps, you can share some information in this thread and I will answer your questions further. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!

Best Regards,

Just tried all of them right now and still no luck. At first I thought it was because I change my GPU and Ram but when the update happened it just made everything slower. My friend like I said also has the same problem but he bought his from NXZT Player One.

My Friend Build:

Windows 11 Home

  • NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 3050 GPU - 6GB or NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 4060 GPU

  • Intel® Core™ i5-13400F

  • 16GB DDR5 5200 MHz RAM

  • 1TB NVMe M.2 SSD storage space

  • 80 Plus Gold power

I used to have the same build as him before I upgraded the ram and gpu.
