WINDOW 10 ACTIVATION KEY FOR TWO SYSTEM ,HOW COME ?

ear Forum & microft,

i work in an organisation that bought laptops to its staff. and they buy in large quantities with a preinstalled windows .and my system happens to be one of them. i use HP probook 450 G2 . window 7 but now window 10.

my issue is that i downloaded window 10 to my flash drive though my system. and i upgraded my system to win 10. after that my friend has a system that has no original copy of window. and i use they same win 10 software in my flash for his system. to my surprise . his system was activated . but when i use key finder to check his laptop. to my surprise . it is same key with my hp computer. please advise me what to do,i do not want my system to be deactivated . as my friend system window is pirated , mine is still under 3 month warranty and an original copy of windows 7 is mine, but upgraded to win 10.

please advice . i dnt want my system deactivated by microsoft .

If you used the Media Creation tool to create your USB media that can be used on as many devices as you like to upgrade to Windows 10. There is no key associated with the USB media.

Activation is carried out via digital entitlement (for an upgrade) and based on the windows version that was installed before the upgrade.

If your friends device had a pirated version of windows installed then that will become deactivated when the servers check the details in the coming weeks. As long as yours is legitimate then your device will be ok. There is no link between your HP and your friends device.

When you upgraded from a previous version of Windows, what happened is the hardware (your PC) will get a digital entitlement, where a unique signature of the computer will be stored on Microsoft Activation Servers. The Windows 7 or Windows 8 genuine license you were previously running will be exchanged for a diagnostics key.

Anytime you need to reinstall Windows 10 on that machine, just proceed to reinstall Windows 10. It will automatically reactivate.

Use a Digital License to Manage and Activate Windows 10 Anniversary Update

All systems upgraded using the free program will have the same key. The online registration will record the individual systems license. I have 3 systems using different paths to the upgrade, all with the same key.

thank you that what happened to me, i thought it becuase i downloaded the win 10 via my system and then use the same win 10 on my friend system that made my friend system copied my activation key. and from info i got , that in such case , microsoft will randomly choose a system and deactivate it. so i got scared. my system came with preinstalled window 7 ( original copy ) before i had it upgraded to win 10 .
