I suspect the bottom listing is actually dd/mm/yy as there are no 3 digit months.  Have you tried it?

I found out that the "dd-MMM-yy" can be a bug(Of course I am not sure).

I think the format "dd-MMM-yy" seemed to be the best option.Maybe someone will put this idea in Windows Insider Program.

The "dd-MMM-yy" format or "dd-MMM-yyyy" is often a way to specify that the month is spelled out completely or may use MMMM. Useful, sometimes necessary. The "dd-MM-yy" produces the abbreviated month.  Yes, setting under change Date / Time in Win10, long and short version

If none of the settings yield what you need, you should contact the accounting software developer.

I tried this but it didn't work.

I have since been advised that changing language to English(zimbabwe) then shutting down PC first.

then on reboot go to region settings and there is the option dd/mm/yyyy  !!!!

Change language back again and reboot.  MAGIC.

I had to find it myself... Click "Change date, time, or number formats" marked in blue in the left panel. Under Format in the new window, change it to whatever you want (Israel uses same formats as the UK, in my case).

I assume MMM actually indicates text format (month name) rather than numeric.

It is extremely stupid not to have one of the most used date formats as standard.

Great work Microsoft!
