Win 10 Calendar Events hyperlinks?

When I create a new calendar event using Windows 10 Calendar it does NOT allow me to use hyperlinks in the event description comment section. Is there any way to overcome this since have web links is very useful in my events.

We understand that you want to hyperlinks on your Calendar. However, this feature is not yet available in Outlook Calendar. We do not want to leave you hanging out there without getting any assistance from us. Having said that, we encourage you to submit your issue using the Feedback Hub.  You can either vote on an existing submission or submit a new issue. When you submit a feedback item we gather additional details and information about your issue that will help determine what’s causing it and address it. Feedback items regularly receive Microsoft responses on the submissions in the Feedback app so you can see what we are doing about your feedback. Please revisit frequently to see the status of your feedback items.

For more information on Feedback Hub, see our support article and YouTube video

.In order to submit new feedback, please follow these steps:

  1. On a Windows 10 device, search for “Feedback Hub” in Cortana search, then launch the app.
  2. Navigate to Feedback in the left menu, then press + Add new feedback.
  3. Select the Problem, and share any details you think are relevant, and choose an appropriate category and subcategory.
  4. Important: If possible, reproduce the problem(s) after clicking Begin monitoring (or Start capture) near the end of the form; Stop monitoring when you’re done.
  5. Once you’ve completed the form and monitoring, click Submit.
  6. Click Continue using Feedback Hub.
  7. Click My feedback at the top, then find the item you submitted (it may take a while to appear).
  8. Open the item you submitted, then click Share.
  9. Click Copy link, then paste the link here in your response (it will look like https://aka.ms/link>).

Let us know if you need further assistance in the future.

Hi Thomas,

Support for hyperlink formatting has been added to the Calendar app Version 17.8241.41275.0. To check the version of your Calendar app, click the Gear icon to access Settings, then click About. If you don't have the most recent version, we suggest that you update it through the Store app. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Click Start.
  2. Choose the Store app.
  3. Click your profile picture near the search bar.
  4. Choose Downloads and Updates.
  5. Click Check for Updates.
  6. Install the latest updates for the Mail and Calendar app (these two apps are bundled together).

Let us know if hyperlinks work properly after installing the latest updates.
