Why Microsoft Store is full of scam apps?

I guess this is no wonder to anybody who ever used Microsoft Store, but this place is full of fraud apps.

Existence of such paid apps as 'GIMP PRO', 'VLC User Guide' is hilarious. The trust to such a store is kinda limited and you have to double-check twice before installing the app. Are there any people who can control this thing? Like Apple/Google(to some extent) do?

I want to mention all the apps from Yellow Elephant Productions. It is absolute garbage that can be downloaded ONLY via MS Store and there's no info about these apps on web. Also, there's no info about this company.

Redesign for Win 11 is cool, but if store is ****, no matter how it looks.

Yeah, that's true. Microsoft Store is full of Paid Scam Apps just to trick the users.

The "Apps specials" session is a joke full of false paid apps, what's wrong with you Microsoft?

Microsoft Store, Google Play and the Apple App Store all have apps that are scams at best and malicious at worst. Microsoft, Google and Apple each have safeguards against this, but it happens anyway. The only thing a user can do about it is to report the app to Microsoft/Google/Apple.

Good luck reporting it since their reporting system is virtually non-existent or doesn't work. I will never use the microsoft store ever again.

Same for me. I purchased this App WinRarZip VIP from "Yellow Elephant Productions", got an invoice and all, but unlike Google Play Store or any Repository of repute you can find the app again, at least there is some trace of what happened to it.
But not with the Microsoft Store, no Sir. No such thing with them.

Wasted 5 bucks this evening on a scam app. And then, only after purchasing the app, I was presented with a litany of scathing, one-star reviews. And, as previously noted by all, there is absolutely no way to complain, no warranty, no refund policy, and no means of contacting anyone at Microsoft to address this ghost app. Incredibly disappointing business model. Microsoft should be ashamed of themselves.
