Why have I been losing space on my laptop

I was playing video games with my friends for the past week and i have noticed that the storage space on my computer has stated to become smaller and smaller. I was freeing up space a little bit ago and it said that I had 20 gigabytes free in my drive but then I played for a while with my friends and it has now changed to 11 gigabytes and I am really confused on why. i have tried clearing it up but every time I go to settings it says I have used up 225 gigabytes of my 240 gigabytes but when i added it all up the total only adds up to 193 meaning I should have at least an extra 30 gigabytes. I dont know what the issue could be but i could really use some help. Thanks!

Hello, my name is Anis. I'll be glad to help you today.

The storage may get consumed by many factors.
As you are playing games, it stores the game data locally.
Additionally, Windows system files and shadow copy of system files can also consume a couple of GBs.
Windows update may consume some space too.
When you make a software change, newer System Restore points are generated. They can consume some space as well.
Temporary Files and Cache files can consume some storage.

Please run disk cleanup to free up some space:

Type "Disk Cleanup" at Start menu and open it.
Select C: drive > OK
Click on "Clean up system files"
Select all the check boxes and proceed.

Clean temporary files:
Press Windows + R, type %temp%, and delete the files in the folder (skip any files that are in use).

Recycle Bin: Empty recycle bin.
