Why does recording preferences not show up? the options for recording and clipping are greyed out even though game bar is on, game mode is on.


As you can see, its greyed out? Anyone know the fix to this? I repaired and reset game bar and it still has not been fixedNothing under Recording Preferences as you can see.

Hi ! I found a solution :

Step 1 : Press the Windows + S keys to open the Windows Search.

Step 2 : In the search bar, type Registry Editor and choose Run as administrator

Step 3 : Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\System\GameConfigStore

Set the value of DWORD "GameDVR_Enabled" to 1

Step 4 : Then Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\GameDVR

Set the value of DWORD "AppCaptureEnabled" to 1

Step 5 : Then Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\GameDVR

Set the value of DWORD "AllowGameDVR" to 1

Step 6 : Restart your PC and everything should work ;)
