Why does Command L Lock the screen, Why can't I remap it?

I am an editor, using Adobe premiere, After effects, DaVinci etc. I use a Mac keyboard as they have the best action and I got used to them years ago.

I have just been forced to reinstall Windows thanks to the well documented Defaultuser0 problem. (but that is not what this is about)

I am used to remapping my keys, it I just one of the stages of the reinstall process. However this time, I cannot remap Command L. It instantly locks the screen and requires a password. Command L is a useful keyboard shortcut for editing. I have tried to use Sharpkeys to remap the shortcut, but instead of allowing me to 'type the key you wish to remap', the screen lock happens. I have tried to alter the registry but every instruction I have followed on various forums has created a useless keyboard where nearly every key you press performs a function. The X key for example brings up a menu from the start icon.

Please can you help.

Hi,
I'm Rodrigo and I'll help you.
It is not possible to remap the Windows + L (lock computer) shortcut.
The Command key is invoking the Windows Key.
Remap the Command key to invoke the Ctrl Key (the Window equivalent of the Command key) which will allow you to use the shortcuts on the applications you use.

If you need another option to remap the key from those you are used to, let me know so I can recommend you.
If I helped you anyway, It makes me happy.

My keyboard broke and i catch another that does not have the POWER - SLEEP - WAKE UP keys. I was searching for a way to remap one key to works like the SLEEP, i found the key shortcut ⊞ Win+L so i downloaded the PowerToysKeyboard Manager to be able to redefine shortcuts to single keys but i discovered this...

"There are some shortcut keys that are reserved by the operating system or cannot be overridden. Keys that cannot be remapped include: ⊞ Win+L and Ctrl+Alt+Del cannot be remapped as they are reserved by the Windows OS. The Fn (function) key cannot be remapped (in most cases)."

Trapped into this i found a user of Windows Ten Forums that posted this "For those who would like to be able to still use hibernate on their computer [...] here is another option along the same lines. Create a .bat file [...] with the following code:

@echo off
powercfg -hibernate off
C:\Windows\System32\rundll32.exe powrprof.dll,SetSuspendState
powercfg -hibernate on

So i have a ideia, could be possible initiate a BAT file with shortcut keys? And DaveM121 posted here "That is not possible to do with a bat file, however, if you move the batch file into another folder and create a shortcut to the Batch file on your Desktop, then right click the shortcut, choose properties, you can set a keyboard shortcut to run that form the resulting dialog ..."

Finally i made that, i put Ctrl + Alt + Scroll Lock as the activator of the BAT file, and after this i used the POWER TOYS to remap this key shortcut (Ctrl + Alt + Scroll Lock) to just (Scroll Lock) and.... It Worked!!! (Basically i made my own SLEEP key with a SCROLL LOCK key)
