Why do i get a log file on startup of my laptop.

Please help with the below.

Log Files Saved Under My User Files:

- Jan(With no extention)

- Jan_000_vcRuntimeMinimum_x64.log

- Jan_000_vcRuntimeMinimum_x86.log

- Jan_001_vcRuntimeAdditional_x64.log

- Jan_001_vcRuntimeAdditional_x86.log

Opened the Jan file in Note++ and got the following(Looks like a C++ error):

Good day! I'm Raniel. I understand your frustration regarding this issue but I'll do my best to help.

Just to clarify, did you make any changes to your machine before encountering this issue (like installing third party apps, recent updates, etc..)? Do you also encounter it when you access your account via safe mode?. Please see the steps under "From the sign-in screen": https://support.microsoft.com/help/12376/window...

Once in safe mode, run SFC and DISM commands to repair system files
1. On the search bar, type "command prompt" and select Run as administrator
2. Type the following commands in order
sfc /scannow then press Enter
Dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /CheckHealth then press Enter
Dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /ScanHealth then press Enter
Dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /RestoreHealth then press Enter
3. Uninstall all Microsoft Visual C++ that is currently installed on your machine. You may download the program install uninstall troubleshooter: https://support.microsoft.com/topic/fix-problem...
4. Perform a clean boot: https://support.microsoft.com/help/929135/how-t...
5. Re-download the latest supported Visual C++ file using this link: https://support.microsoft.com/topic/the-latest-... then check again.
Note: Ensure to run the installation as administrator

Hi Raniel,

Hope you are doing well. I just got this pc Friday…. Yesterday i installed AMD’s graphics interface. After installation it said i should install three drivers of AMD. I did so. Later that evening i wanted to watch series on netflix and suddenly the netflix was lagging. I thought it could only be the software i installed. I uninstalled it and Netflix was working again. Its just this log that appears every time. Ill follow your advice quickly and let you know if it worked.

Enclosing the file paths (in the registry Run startup entries) within double quotes usually resolves the issue.

Pls open Task Manager → Startup tab and post a screenshot of it. See also, a similar issue, where a log file opens at startup.

Between you and @Raniel V. advice i managed to get the problem fixed. Hope it stays that way. Im thinking of returning this laptop. It has an AMD Radeon Graphics card and AMD Ryzen 5 processor. Im not familiar with AMD. I am used to intel and their website and interfaces are much more user friendly. What do you guys think?
