Why did my CPU works poorly after updated to windows 11?

Hi,

I’m a new user and not an expert but I’ll try my best

So I just updated to windows 11. But I noticed that my pc has gotten very slow after a while. Everything is slow including opening the startup menu, windows antivirus slow from usually 1 minute to 1 hour 47 minutes. Games is also unplayable because of my pc poor performance. Then I downgraded back to windows 10 but still no luck. The lag is still there.

I suspected the problem is with my intel i7-14700F cpu. In the task manager, base speed is 2.10 GHz. When i just started my pc, the speed was fine but time by time, the speed decreased until 0.19 Ghz.

If that’s the case, how do I fix this.

Actually I just bought this pc for 2.5 weeks.

GPU : Gigabyte RTX 4070 Super Gaming OC

CPU : Intel i7-14700F

RAM : Kingstron Fury 32GB DDR5

Update the BIOS to correct the microcode system of the Intel processors that was presenting degradation problems in the processors.

Stress the CPU and see how much clock it is in total using CPU-Z or AIDA64.

Hi,

I stressed out my cpu with cpu-z.

Here’s the result.

Single thread: -

Multi thread: 13000 after startup. After that, it decreases significantly up to 2000 per min.

It keeps going down until I shut down my pc at 800 because im scared it would stuck my pc.

Also after the number goes low, I noticed cmd keeps appearing one by one.

Is it normal that the cpu-z doesn’t count single thread? Or am I cooked?

Hi,

If it meets the specifications, do another test on 3dmark, check the temperatures.

Open the command prompt (admin) and run the commands: sfc /scannow and dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth, wait for the process to finish and restart the computer.

Then perform a clean boot and if you want to uninstall applications that you do not use.
