Why can't I access certain web sites?

Here is a screen shot of the latest attempt to access sites, usually from within Outlook, but even when I try to do so through my browser, the same thing happens. E.g.,:

It seems that the problem is on the website itself. I have tried to visit that link as well and the website has no response for me. they maybe have system maintenance for now and let's wait for a while then let's try it again some other time

Thanks for your quick reply, but I don't think this is the case. I have had this problem on numerous sites before today. I never had this problem before my computer was compromised, which it still is! Hacker follows my every move, and every time I log on something new is a afoot! I now have Norton Lifelock, but they don't seem to be able to fix everything.

I have been going through this for at least 3 months, and the problem would have been resolved sooner if people would listen to what I say or write! I believe in this instance that he/she/it is trying to block what I do! They have even infiltrated my network connections; e.g., infected and/or co-opting my printer and using that as a connection. I could go on, but I have learned from experience that if a person has not experienced something like this, it serves no purpose!

E.g., when I told the Dell rep. about it, and he tried to fix it he said it was because I was clicking on a third-party link inside the email. But later I tried it from my browser just like today, and the same thing happened!

Extremely frustrated and tired of this. I realized some time ago that I probably will have to do a complete wash/factory reset and start anew or get a new PC!

I'm really sorry about that DharmaMaji, please forgive my opinion on my first reply, I never imagine that your situation is in a real risk or danger, however, if that's the case or you are thinking that someone is trying to hack you, I would suggest that changing your passwords will be the first step. Then if you have a wi-fi connection, it's best to change the password of it too. I may also suggest having a full reset of your device and let's see if you still have those kinds of threats or problems with opening certain sites. I really apologize for what is happening in your device right now. Please be careful and always be safe.

Hey, Jeremy!

Just now when I clicked on "post a reply" the same thing happened! I clicked refresh page, which sometimes helps and I got here.

I have changed my password numerous times, the last time 6/8. I read about changing my wi-fi password but now can't remember what they suggested. Please tell me how again...so stressed from this I have to write everything down because otherwise no one would believe me!

Also, it has hacked into my Comcast account, once while Norton was backing up my files...I saw this myself--right under our noses! He got on the sign in page and I saw something entitled "purge" or add new connections, which is what he obviously was doing because now I have THREE HP connections on my wi-fi, once from when he infected my printer software on 4/24, and is now using that as a connection. I could go on...obviously he thinks I have money because I had been paying all my bills, etc. online for years. (I recently bought checks to use until this clears up!)

I saw yesterday when I logged on and checked the Norton recent history that multiple attempts to access my info had been blocked. They are also very busy today. I read the history, as much as I can understand, and it appears that he is able to make them think it's me using all these network connections, even though I'm not on!

Any help with the wi-fi connection would be great. I have a VPN thru Norton Lifelock now, so I might have to go through them.

Hey DharmaMaji, this is actually giving me goosebumps! I never thought that what we are seeing in the movies can actually happen in real life, Please, if this is getting out of hand, let the authorities know about this. This is a real threat to you.

Anyway, here's what I've got. I really hope this will help you to change your wi-fi password, most of the hackers can easily do their thing by just connecting to your wi-fi.

If you have TP-Link:

1. Login to Router admin panel using its default IP Address – 192.168.0.1 / 192.168.1.1.
2. Enter the default username and password (admin/admin in most cases).
3. Navigate to Wireless > Wireless Security > WPA/WPA2 – Personal (Recommended) > Password .
4. Enter your preferred password and Save the change.

This is for D-Link:

1. Login to your router settings page via its default IP Address – 192.168.1.1 / 192.168.0.1.
2. Input your username and password (or here’s a list of default usernames and passwords).
3. Go to Wireless > Wireless Security > Security Mode set to WPA2 only > Pre-Shared Key: enter your preferred password.
4. Apply the change > restart your WiFi and the new password will be applied.

And here is for NETGEAR:

1. Open your router setup page using its default IP address – 192.168.1.1 / 192.168.0.1 / http://routerlogin.com/.
2. For authentication enter default username and password.
3. Go to Wireless > Security Options > Select WPA2-PSK [AES] > Now enter your preferred password in Passphrase.
4. Apply changes and reboot your WiFi for changes to effect.

Please inform me if you have successfully done it.
