Hi Rick,

I'm Christine, a Windows user like you. I'll do my best to help you.
Looks like you're getting a popped up of iCloud on your startup.
This usually occurs when it's enabled on Startup Settings.

To disable it, please follow the steps below:

Press right click the Start Menu and choose Task Manager, then select the Startup tab and right-click iCloud and select Disable.

Restart your device and it should not popped up on your startup.

Please let me know the result. I'll be happy to assist you all the way until it's resolved.

Thank you,
Christine L

Hi Rick,

Oh thanks for updating me. And yes, uninstalling the app itself will be an option if you're not using it. But in case you need it, you can just disable it from the Startup.
I'm glad that it's fixed now.

Have a good one and stay safe!

Regards,
Christine

Hi Christine,

I also have this problem, except that it pops up less than a minute after I cancel it - I can't get anything done!

I checked on the start up but none of the i-cloud tasks are enabled at all. Do you have any further suggestions?

Thank you,

Sheila T

have the same problem on windows 11. if i close the icloud window it reopens by itself if i minimize the window it takes me back to the log in screen and have to log in (2 factor) all over again. if i cancel the login it asks again every minute or two. if i open task mgr and end all icloud tasks task it reloads after about 2 minutes. icloud works flawlessly on my wifes windows 10 machine. 3 hours with elevated support and they have no clue why or how to fix it so far. everything is up to date uninstalled/reinstalled it and still a no go. guess whos getting another call back tonight. oh btw i had the same problem 6 months ago. fixed it by deleting icloud for windows. just have to upload files manually.

There are so many Icloud tabs, not merely 'icloud'!! I disabled Icloud push' & I'll see what happens!

Same issue. I want the backup feature for photos, but I'm getting a popup to sign in continuously. I try, then it says "unexplained problem" or must change password. I do not wish to change password.

Sure....
It is rubbish.
It was so bad that I rang an advisor here in the UK and he was helpful & patient. He just said you have to sign it when it happens and do it manually (i.e. don't copy and paste your password).
And it should not happen again, a but if it does -to do that!
This was for my issue!
Good luck...
Ring an advisor, they are very helpful in general (for me they have been)
