Which windows build does not need repair as it would be nice just to use computer that works.

Over the last year I'm not entirely sure what has happened, but I have fond memories of just turning on my computer and just doing some work or looking for something to buy, or just plain old brain food...... It seems these days the average joe needs a crash course in PS or CMD or some other syntax and preform update repairs to in built programs. We have Decom restrictions on our Wi-Fi which has been brought about by some policy the computer wrote because authentication from something somewhere told it too ..... But we have to fix it because if we want to use our computer we must. Updates and audits = Audits and updates .... policy and security all pushing for what they have been programmed to do --- is what??

I have left a fresh clean Windows install with only a login and nothing else. Still without human intervention the computer had so many complications and conflicts just with itself its actually quite funny. I wonder when we will actually get the confidence back that one day we will get back the rights and authority to make decisions about how we would like to use our computer. It seems like a simple request, but I'm not sure if it will ever happen.

I must admit I'm more proficient with many things on my computer because of the required repairs one has to administer or explore to use whatever to achieve a task...... That I forgot my task ......

Hello, kruption76,Welcome to Microsoft Community.

Thanks for your feedback,I understand that you want a simple, stable, controllable, and reliable computer usage environment, rather than the complex system that currently requires frequent intervention and repair.

Therefore, the most suitable version of the system for you is the LTSC version of Windows, which is relatively stable and has the lowest update frequency.

Windows 11 Enterprise | Microsoft Evaluation Center

However, this version is mainly provided for enterprises, so after the evaluation is completed, the device still needs to be activated through the enterprise method.

Of course, if you do not make any settings, the current official version of the system can also be used normally. If you feel that the updates are interfering with your use, you can go into the Windows Update settings to postpone your updates and set the time to the maximum.

If you feel that there are areas that need improvement during use.,you can also submit your questions through the FeedbackHub (if convenient, please provide as much detail as possible, includingpictures, videos, etc.).

Please share the feedback link after submitting, I will submityour feedback to the relevant team for investigation through internal channels.

If my understanding is wrong, please point it out, so that I can assist you better.
