Looking for the path of installed updates in windows XP, Windows 7. I mean to say the location at the drive and folder

Once the updates are installed they become part of the operating system.

Not quite sure what you mean but, in Windows XP the updates are stored on the root drive ( the drive where Windows is installed to ) in
WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution\Download
The uninstallation files are stored in Hidden subfolders of the Windows directory and are named $NtUninstallKBxxxxxx$.

Windows 7 places the updates in the same location as XP but they are not reusable since their content is stored in the OS ( in Volume Shadow Servicing and Component Based Servicing ) as are their uninstall information.
