Answer

Hi

They both relate to email.

Webmail just means that the email is accessed using a web browser such as Internet Explorer or Firefox rather than a dedicated email client app such as Microsoft Office Outlook, Windows Live Mail or Thunderbird.

Email client apps can be the default client app which allows, for example, other apps or right-click menus (Send to->Mail recipient) to open them on demand. Web mail usually cannot.

Email client apps can be used to work with emails that you have already downloaded if you are not connected to the internet. This is because the emails are stored locally on your hard drive after they've been downloaded (this also means that you can backup the emails automatically locally more easily).

Webmail makes it more convenient to access your email if using a different computer. Be careful about password security though.
