i had to recover my hard drive back to like new out of the box, it's a Gateway  m-73154,with windows vista home premium,64 bit o/s

after i borught the system back up , what should have been ready to run i kept having to update my system,most all would update but i kept gettin the error code 1 thats all it had for that error, i have searched through help and support and  mr.fixit i think  and it was still there, and now i am trying to down load a program  from the disk  and i am now getting a run time  error 3044????
