What are WAL files and can I remove them

Hello,

I have a question about the below wal files showing up on C: in my File Explorer . Could someone explain what they are and where do they generate from? Their properties show that have no data in them so I am wondering can I delete them? Please see images. I would greatly appreciate any info.

Hi there,

Those empty files are created by Norton. I think they can be cleared.
