Webcam for Asus laptop

Hi,

I have an Asus laptop with Windows 10.  I have been trying to get my webcam to work without success.

When I go to start and right-click on Device Manager , there is not a Camera nor Other.  There is Imaging Devices but it only shows my printer.

I even contact Asus to help me and they had me install an Intel program that did nothing.

If anyone can help me, I would be so happy!

Thanks.

Hello
I am sorry that your Webcam is not working with your ASUS Laptop. Can you give me the Exact Model of the laptop so I can look for a compatible driver that might resolve this.

Hello Michele3330, thanks for the information.

Let's try to install first the Asus Live Update Utility that will help you update the components of your ASUS Laptop.

Here's the Link:

https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/nb/Apps_for_...

Once the software is installed run it and try to update the driver's that needs to be updated and reboot the pc.

Since you already visited the Device Manager earlier and there is no Camera Entry. Expand the category Imaging Devices and right-click on the device. (In your case, the problematic device may be listed under Other devices. If you do not see the device under the category Imaging Devices, expand the category Other devices.) If there are entry in the OTHER DEVICES right click on it and uninstall and reboot the pc and lets see if the Camera will appear once your back in Windows Desktop.

Regards,

Hello Michele3330, thank you for checking please update me if the Update Utility can check your Camera Driver since there's no standalone driver found in the Manufacturers Website.

I have rebooted.  The ASUS Live Update, On-Screen Display, and eManual are downloaded.  My apology for this becoming such an ordeal.  Please let me know what I am doing wrong?  Thank you.

When I open the On-Screen Display, here is the screen.

When I click on the ASUS Live Update, the prompt appears - Do you want to allow this app to make changes to you device?  It will not allow me to take a screen shot of that page.

Here is the screen when I click Device Manager.Image
