We Can’t Tell If Your PC Has Enough Space to Continue Installing Windows 11 0x800703ee error msg

I have been trying to upgrade to windows 11 22h2 and I keep getting this error message.

"We Can’t Tell If Your PC Has Enough Space to Continue Installing Windows 11" 0x800703ee error code

I have over 500 gig of hard drive space, so I don't believe that is really the issue. I did run a full chkdsk, It did fix some errors, The windows11 update assistance program seems to downloads and check for updates etc but crashes with this message on the final step before install. I have read of other addition steps but I'm not sure what to do next.

Please offer some Insite to what is going on and what I should do next.

My hard drive shows "98mb" on the efi partition and 513 mb ntfs basic partition along with my main partition.

Answer

You didn't. After running the first set of commands, the Command window was closed, as evident from your latest screenshot. That's not an issue anyway. Rerunning all those commands in the same session should help.

  • diskpart

  • select disk 0

  • list part --- ensure partition #2 is your 150 MB EFI partition.

  • select part 2 --- this selects the 150 MB EFI partition.

  • assign letter=Y

  • list vol

  • exit

  • xcopy /h Y:\EFI\Microsoft\Boot\BCD C:\

  • format Y: /fs:FAT32 /q

  • bcdboot C:\Windows /s Y: /f UEFI

Restart the computer.
