Waves MaxxAudio® missing after installing Windows 10 x64

Hi,

I upgraded to Windows 10 Pro x64 from Windows 7 Pro x64 and Waves MaxxAudio® is missing. I have the latest Realtek but no Waves MaxxAudio®. Do I need that? Where do I get that? My Asus ET2311IUTH came with it though. But I can't seem to find it now. Thanks.

Hi,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

As long as you have your Windows 10 realtek audio drivers you don't need any other sound drivers.

Further, if you need Maxx Audio try installing it manually and for further assistance check the respective manufacturer website.

Let us know if this helps.

Missing MaxxAudio equalizers from Realtek HD audio drivers is a well known problem.. It just shows, how incompetent entire IT industry is and always was. With every new Windows version they failed to deliver fully working, quality drivers. Windows 10 did not just materialize over a night.. HW manufacturers had plenty of time of testing various builds and technical previews, yet they have failed as usually to catch up. Now we need to wait propably year or so, until they get their s**t together.

The problem is also on MaxxAudio's (Waves Audio LTD) end of the spectrum.

A note on Audio Drivers for Windows 10

With the upgrade to Windows 10, some users have encountered issues with their audio drivers. We are working closely with our partners to ensure compatibility with Waves in the Windows 10 environment.

Please consult the above support websites for further information on official support and updated audio drivers.

For any problems with the audio drivers on your Dell laptop or desktop, please consult this list of Dell laptops and desktops tested for Windows 10.

Waves Audio LTD has to partner up with Dell/ASUS as well as the audio driver makers (Conexant and Realtek) to offer updated software that fully works on Win10, which may take a while on older systems running Win10.

That  has no sense to answer so. All compressor and stereo enhancing factors dump all audio application working in the background without accesiblity to options and adjustment pannel. Akheel you must be fired!
