Virus and Threat Protection

What would cause my Microsoft Virus and Threat Protection to turn off by itself?   It was and is updated.

Either a Virus or a Third Party Antivirus that you may have installed.

I did run a quick scan after I saw that it was turned off and engaged the Windows virus protection

If you're using any third-party AV program, this is expected. You may need to uninstall third-party AV and that should resolve the issue.
