Virus and Threat Protection "Limited access by IT Admin" WINDOWS 11

Virus and threat protection is hidden when I access the security tab. I have already tried the powershell and policy and registry troubleshooting... Nothing seems to work and I am at a loss right now :(

Hello,

Thanks for reaching out! I'm Microsoft user like you.

If your PC is linked to a Work or school account, that will cause that error.

Open the Settings -> Go to Accounts -> Select Emails and Accounts, if there is a work or school Email listed there, remove or disconnect it.

Select Access Work or School, if there is a work or school Email listed there, remove or disconnect it.

Close the Settings App and restart (not shut down) your Computer.

Also , If you have a 3rd party Antivirus installed, that will cause this message.

If you are sure there are no school/work accounts or third-party security software on your system, you should remove some policies via an elevated Command Prompt.

1. Open Command Prompt result select Run as administrator

2. Type below lines one-by-one then Press enter after each line

reg delete “HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies” /f
reg delete “HKLM\Software\Microsoft\WindowsSelfHost” /f
reg delete “HKLM\Software\Policies” /f
reg delete “HKLM\Software\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Policies” /f
reg delete “HKLM\Software\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies” /f
reg delete “HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows Defender” /v DisableAntiSpyware
reg delete “HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies” /f
reg delete “HKCU\Software\Microsoft\WindowsSelfHost” /f
reg delete “HKCU\Software\Policies” /f
reg delete “HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Policies” /f

3. Reboot your PC
