Hi J,
I am Vijay, an Independent Advisor. I am here to work with you on this problem.

This is a scam and don't click on any link and don't call on any number. This is due to malware / trojan / virus. Please try these options one by one and check after each option

1. You should run Malware Bytes scan to get rid of this
Malware Bytes - https://www.malwarebytes.com/

2. Scan for Virus / Malware
A: Use Defender / ESET Scan
a. Open Windows Defender > Virus & threat protection menu > Advanced Scan > Full Scan
b. Download ESET / Sysrescue and follow the instructions on the link - https://www.eset.com/us/download/tools-and-util...

Do let me know if you require any further help on this. Will be glad to help you.

Hi J

That is a well known Tech Support Scam, it is very prevalent on the Internet at the moment, it is caused by a browser re-direct on a web page you are visiting.

Your system is not infected at all, there is no point in running any sort of malware detecting software, it is a waste of time . ..

When this happens, open Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc), then from the processes tab, end your browser process. Then you can continue browsing . . .

Hi Dave thank you for the quick response, I’m in my task manager under the processes tab, But the end task bar is dark. I don’t like to assume so I thought I’d ask to be sure,  should i select Microsoft edge & click end task?

Hi J

Yes, you just select Edge, and then click 'End Task' you have to kill the whole browser process, not just one Tab to get rid of that annoyance

Then open Edge again . . .
