Using Gmail on the Windows 10 Mail App - sent items do not appear in Sent folder

I have been using the Windows Mail App to send emails, and while all previous email I had sent appear in my Sent folder, two emails I sent today don't show up. They didn't show up in the Windows app, but they also didn't show up in Gmail online when I cheked seperately.

I received an automated reply for one of the two emails , which means that one went through, however I have no way of confirming if the other one has.

To test the issue I sent myself an email which I received and can see in Sent.

It isn't a sync issue, because I updated using the re-fresh button. I also checked my Outbox and it isn't a case of the mail being stuck.

How can I see a copy of the two emails in Sent - is there anyway to check if they sent successfully?

You will find them in the Spam folder.  There is a problem with the latest Mail for Windows 10 app Version 16005.12827.20200.0.  I have submitted a Feedback report to Microsoft for this - please upvote it.  https://aka.ms/AA8kszu

Hi philc43 - unfortunately that's not the case. The emails aren't in Spam either - it's like they've vanished!

I checked both the app version and in the online version of Gmail and unfortunately they're nowhere to be found.

I have this issue as well. It seems to have manifested with the latest Win10 update. You hit send and the email just disappears as though you closed the window. Doesn't appear anywhere in gmail or microsoft mail. I removed the email account then re-added it, still nothing. It's as though the email was never composed. I know it went through because someone replied, but what about others? This needs a fix!!

There are now several threads from today all with similar problems relating to the Mail App with Gmail accounts.  Most of the time the sent emails are being found in the Spam folder but not in all cases.  The problem seems to be with Mail App Version 16005.12827.20200.0  rather than the Windows 10 update.  I think we have to wait for Microsoft to fix the problem and release a new version of the Mail App.

Yes indeed, every time MS upgrades Windows 10 they break something.

I am seeing the exact same symptoms after incorporating the latest MS upgrade with Mail & Calendar version.16005.12827.20200.0

I have been working with MS products since early DOS in 1982.  However, what ever corporate complexion MS has taken on truly exemplifies "INCOMPETENCE" in the capital extent.

Come on now MS, get a grip.  Step up and get this fixed soon.
