User file is missing my profile. How do i get it back

Hello,

when i logged into my laptop today i noticed that my user profile file is missing from the user folder. I have tried unhiding all files in the user folder but nothing happens. If i go to the left i can see downloads, videos etc and all the files are still there.

I cannot find the folder.

Any help?

From an admin Command Prompt window, please run the following commands:

  • dir /a c:\users & set | findstr /i userprofile

  • dir "%userprofile%\desktop.ini" /a

Post the output here.

I am unsure what to do.

I have inputted the first line and it says file not found.

But when i go to the user file, it is there now.

I have no idea what is going on.

I know the file is back but will it disappear again?

The commands did nothing except query the directory contents. If this happens again, post the output here.
