USB Flash drive not able to format

I insert my USB, Go to File Explorer, if there I right click on it and then Format and I select NTSF. and pro-cede.

Hi, this method did not work. It just tells "This disk is write protected" :(

Have you gone to Disk Management and found the USB?  If so you may turn off the write protection.

Let's try to format the USB stick via command prompt (Format fs=NTFS Quick command) or clear write protection on all devices via registry editor. Please check and try the steps on the article below. Let's hope for the best.

For the command prompt solution make sure to run a command prompt with administrator rights. Press Windows Key > Type Command Prompt > Right-click on Command Prompt > Run as Administrator > OK. The Command Prompt window should now appear.

For the registry editor solution, make sure to create a backup of your Registry:

1. Kindly click on the Windows Logo and on search type regedit
2. Open Registry Editor
3. On the Registry Editor window
4. Click on Computer on the left pane
5. Click File
6. Click Export
7. Enter a Name
8. Choose a location to save a backup of your registry and Click Save.

WARNING: If you use Registry Editor incorrectly, you may cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system. Make sure to follow the steps below correctly.

There's no way to turn off USB Protection. It's in RAW format :(

I tried all ways, diskpart, registry, third party apps, nothing worked. Anything else you recommend?

Thanks for the update. My apologies if the suggestion did not work for you. I was able to find this Microsoft thread. Go to the very last comment at the bottom of the page. This requires the use of a 3rd party application, but I would leave that decision to you as I cannot guarantee if their application would help fix or cause more issues with your system. You may give it a try if you wish to.

I may be running out of options here, but this may also be due to a faulty USB stick, if this issue would be the cause to disrupt your daily work/schooling, then best is to try to look for a spare or new USB stick.

You may also try and check for viruses or malware on your USB Stick if that would help. Thanks for your time and cooperaion.
