Can you please confirm the make and model of the Wireless receiver?
Lets also uninstall the drivers and see if it will reconnect and recognize it.
In the search box on the taskbar, enter device manager, then select Device Manager.
Right-click (or press and hold) the name of the device and select Uninstall.
Restart your PC, While it is powering down, unplug the device.
Sign in and then after you are back at your desktop, plug the device in. Windows will attempt to reinstall the driver after the connection has been restored.
