USB Audio Codec for ProfX8 does not work for Windoes 10

• Did you make any changes prior to this issue?
• Can you give us the exact error message, or send us a screenshot of it when you're trying to connect the USB on your PC?
• Is this issue occurring with only one USB device or all of your USB devices?
• Have you tried connecting the USB to a different port and check if the issue still persists?

As an initial troubleshooting, you may try to run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter by following the steps below:

1. Click on search bar next to Start Menu.

2. Type “Troubleshooting” without the quotes and click on Troubleshooting.

3. Click on View All on the left panel of the screen.

4. Click on Hardware and Devices.

5. Click on Next and follow the prompts to run the troubleshooter.

Thanks for getting back to me.

I did not make any change, my desktop got updated to windws 10 and I started to have this issue.

The error message is with yellow triangle and explanation mark  "  The last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned, and windows does not recognize it". 

In the Device manager it says under Universal Serial Bus controller, Yellow Triangle and exclamation mark, Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed).

It is only with this device Profx8 mixer.

Connecting to different port does not help in windows 10.

The same device works in older windows 7.

Went through the hardware trouble shoot, Hardware and drivers, and it is saying Found USB Audio Codec problem but not fixed.

Since there is an exclamation mark along the driver, it means that there's an issue with the driver that was installed on your PC. To fix the issue, you may try to uninstall the driver then, restart your computer and Windows will reinstall all USB controllers automatically.

In addition, you may also turn off Fast Startup since this can create all sorts of problems, especially if you use USB storage to store important data. To do so, follow the steps below:

1. Open Control Panel and go to Hardware and Sound > Power Options.
2. When Power Option opens, click on Choose what the power button does.
3. Click Change settings that are currently unavailable.
4. Find Fast-Startup option and disable it.
5. Save your changes and restart your PC.

After disabling Fast Startup, your Windows 10 might start a bit slower, but all USB hard drives should be properly recognized.

Tried both did not help.

it is an old Audio Mixer.  There is no new driver for Profx8 Mackie mixer from manufacturer!
