Upgrade Windows 10 Home (Digital License) to Windows 10 Pro with a Product Key?

Is what I am asking possible? I first bought an upgrade from the Microsoft Store and it hasn't worked. The install installed Windows 10 Enterprise. Using system restore I went back to Windows 10 Home. Now when I try install at Microsoft Store I get the error 0xc004f050.

I am tired of trying to get help from Microsoft. They haven't been able to help me.

I bought an upgrade key from Best Buy but no luck with that when I try, Change Product Key.

Hi Horace

I am Dave, an Independent Advisor, I will help you with this . . .

This is a known bug in the Home to Pro upgrade process, use this fix, for the original licence you purchased from Microsoft

Disconnect totally from the Internet

Open the Settings App (Gear icon on your Starr Menu)

Go to Update and Security - Activation

Click Change Product key

Enter this generic product key: VK7JG-NPHTM-C97JM-9MPGT-3V66T

When prompted, click 'Activate Product'

If the above does not work first time, try again . ..

Note the generic key will cause the Home edition to upgrade or Enterprise to downgrade to the Pro edition, then your own legal licence will activate automatically after you restart (not shut down) your PC
