Hi
Download and install this app:
Run it and click on Check now.
Make sure everything is green.
If your computer is fully compatible, you will receive the update through settings.
But, you may get it late as the update is sent in phases.
if you want to upgrade now itself, you can use the installation assistant.

The final word on whether your PC can run Windows 11 or not is available by downloading and running the PC Health Check from here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/windows...
Those specs are also up to date here: https://www.pcworld.com/article/394763/windows-...
All methods to install are explained here:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-in/software-downlo...
The developers' reasoning for the higher specs is explained in this blog where they announced the final changes:
https://blogs.windows.com/windows-insider/2021/...
If hardware is not compatible then it's not going to be supported until the hardware meets specs. I would contact your OEM to ask if the affected hardware can be upgraded. If not I'd consider buying a newer PC with the required specs. Until then you can run Windows 10 until 2025.
If you install anyway it will get a Not Supported watermark. It should get at least Security Updates or they wouldn't allow it. But it's still at your own risk. I would go back to WIndows 10 to be safest and wait to either upgrade hardware or buy a new PC.
This is what we're being told now. I cannot vouch for any workarounds on the web so they'll be strictly at your own risk. The higher specs are due to increased Security due to high threat level from ransomware, and reducing crashes significantly.
I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions. Please report back results for all steps given so I know what else to suggest if necessary.
