Unknown stuff in device manager

I know it looks like i'm referring to literal unknown devices in device manager, but i am not. Under disk drives, there is a device called "xvd" and I have no clue what this is. If i unplug my external hard drive, and all my USB devices, it is still there. it says it's on the USB bus but it's there even when there is nothing plugged into the USB ports. It says the driver is from 2006, but this is a 2014 computer.

here is a screenshot

i haven't seen this before today, either

XVD stands for Xbox Virtual Disk - it is used for storing and loading Xbox data files.

It's an virtual disk drive installed by the Microsoft Gaming Filesystem Driver. "Xbox Play Anywhere" games are essentially unmodified from their Xbox One counterparts, so their data files are stored in the native Xbox Virtual Disk.

I have multiple XVD drives in my device manager, why is that? Does it put one for each game used from Xbox game pass?
